Hill Country Memorial’s services continue to grow and expand. In 2014, HCM saw the largest volume of surgical cases in its history. This accomplishment is thanks in part to the hospital’s Restore Joint Center, which has become a destination surgery service, getting patients back on their feet more quickly and with better outcomes than national averages. The hospital’s Renew program for enhanced colon surgery and recovery was modeled after the Restore process, and both continue to achieve remarkable results.
Surgical services equipment needs accounted for $548,000, approximately 15 percent of HCM’s total capital budget for 2015. The HCMH Foundation rallied around the need and the equipment was funded by proceeds from the 2015 spring appeal, as well as other gifts from this generous community.
